Epidemiology
Respiratory infections are the most prevalent human illnesses, affecting individuals regardless of gender, age, or geographic location, and represent a major global cause of illness and mortality [1]. Common respiratory pathogens encountered in clinical practice include respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus, human metapneumovirus, rhinovirus, parainfluenza virus types I, II, and III, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae [2,3]. While the clinical manifestations of respiratory infections are often similar, the specific pathogen determines the appropriate treatment, outcome, and disease progression [4,5]. Laboratory detection methods primarily encompass virus isolation, antigen testing, and nucleic acid detection. This kit identifies viral nucleic acids in patients presenting with respiratory infection symptoms, and when used together with other clinical and laboratory findings, aids in diagnosing viral respiratory infections.
Work Flow
Conventional PCR
A general DNA/RNA kit, compatible with an automatic nucleic acid extractor, is recommended for sample extraction. Subsequent steps must be carried out in strict accordance with the kit's instructions for use.
