Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of both upper and lower respiratory tract infections, and it is the primary etiological agent of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants.

Adenoviruses are non-enveloped, double-stranded DNA viruses classified under the Mammalian adenovirus genus.
